Il Centro socio-culturale kurdo Ararat, nasce nel maggio 1999 a Roma, in occasione del workshop del colettivo di architetti Stalker con la comunità Curda, per la Biennale dei Giovani Artisti del Mediterraneo, in collaborazione con il Villaggio Globale, in un edificio in disuso dell’ex Mattatoio nell’antico quartiere di Testaccio.
The Kurdish socio-cultural center Ararat, was born in May 1999 in Rome, on the occasion of the workshop of the architects of Stalker collective with the Kurdish community, for the Biennale of Young Artists of the Mediterranean, in collaboration with the Global Village, in a disused building of the former Mattatoio in the ancient district of Testaccio.
