Non sarà un Natale tranquillo per i quattro mila dipendenti della Versalis (la società che ha raccolto l’eredità di Enichem), nei varii siti produttivi, da Priolo in Sicilia a Brindisi e Porto Marghera. Il gruppo Eni pare sia intenzionato a cedere la quota di maggioranza ad un gruppo estero. Non è solo una questione che riguarda gli addetti ai lavori. Eni è controllata, di fatto, dal ministero dell’Economia. La questione è diventata oggetto di scontro tra i sindacati dei chimici e i vertici del Cane a sei zampe. I sindacati si preparano a fare le barricate e hanno indetto uno sciopero generale il prossimo venti dicembre.
It will not be a quiet Christmas for the four thousand employees of Versalis (the company that has inherited the legacy of Enichem), in various production sites, from Priolo in Sicily to Brindisi and Porto Marghera. The Eni group seems to be willing to cede a majority stake to a foreign group. It’s not just a matter for insiders. Eni is controlled in fact by the Ministry of Economy. The issue has become the subject of confrontation between trade unions and the heads of the chemical six-legged dog. The unions are preparing to do the barricades and have called a general strike next 20 December.
