A Saint Nazaire nelle sere d’estate, prima dei bombardamenti anglo americani della seconda guerra mondiale, si viveva all’aperto. Gli italiani, fuggiti dal regime fascista che di giorno lavoravano ai cantieri navali, la sera si stava insieme ad ascoltare la musica fino a tarda notte. Di quel passato è rimasta solo una fotografia in bianco e nero che ritrae un gruppo di uomini e donne con uno striscione con la scritta “Fronte popolare franco-italiano”
In Saint Nazaire on summer evenings, before the Anglo American bombing of World War II , people lived outdoors. Italians, fled the fascist regime, during the day worked to the shipyards while in the evening used to stay together to listen to music until late night. Of that past it has remained only a black and white photograph depicting a group of men and women with a banner reading ” French-Italian Popular Front”
