A Cento, provincia di Ferrara, sorge la fabbrica di manichini “Bonaveri”, la”Ferrari” dei manichini (secondo un titolo del New York Time). Romano Bonaveri, il fondatore, cominciò nel 1950 con la produzione di maschere per il rinomato carnevale di Cento; da lì intrapprese questa avventura, che oggi, portata avanti dai figli Andrea e Carlo, sempre con una cura artigianale del prodotto, vede la Bonaveri leader in tutto il mondo con una produzione di circa 20.000 manichini all’anno per tutti i marchi della moda di lusso.
E’ da poco stato pubblicato da Skira il libro “Mannequins, a history of creativity fashion and art” che racconta la storia della Bonaveri .
